All The President's Men

Why do you believe citizen participation in investigation and giving all the information about the President election's financial resources to the reporters is so important?  Is is worth doing so?

I think that citizen participation in the investigation was important because it played a crucial part in the outcome of the presidency. Because certain individuals eventually cooperated with the two news reporters, they were able to thoroughly investigate the facts of the case and expose members of the election committee. By relaying confidential information about the financial resources during the election of the President, the informants helped two reporters uncover truths and disclose their findings publicly before any other newspaper in the country. Although it took them three years, I believe it was worth it in the end because had they not been diligent and able to work as a team, the Watergate scandal may never have been unmasked.
