The Impact of Written Language

What impact did written language have on communication?

Written language has made it possible for civilizations to store and retrieve a great amount of information. Written language also made it possible to create scripts which made it easier to communicate ideas with other civilizations who did not speak the same language. The development of written language also helped to establish science and math theories that still exist today. The advancement of the mathematics system helped ancient civilizations with economical trading. Religion has also grown because of the use of writing since it is also easier to spread religious beliefs to different regions of the world. Because of written language, we now understand the past events in history that affect modern civilization.
