Would you have revealed the source? Why?
I don’t think I would have revealed the source after all the events unfolded in order to protect the little girl from feeling like she was the cause of her mother’s death. However, I wouldn’t have investigated the story with the little girl’s secret. I would have used her information as a basis to gather additional critical information from a more liable source. Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to reveal my source, I would have talked to the legal team on the paper to learn of the consequences of not revealing the source in court, instead of the risk of spending years in prison.
